![]() ![]() MCP Engineering Plastics Limited, based on the Hertfordshire and Essex county border, are an established and experienced PEEK Rod supplier and manufacturer to a range of industries throughout the UK. We provide precision grinding, custom made shapes and colours, with full quality product certification. Additionally, MCP Engineering Plastics Limited have in-house machining and tooling capabilities. We have an extensive range of natural and extruded PEEK rods. This rigid opaque (grey) material offers a unique combination of mechanical properties, resistance to chemicals, wear, fatigue and creep as well as exceptionally high temperature resistance, up to 260C (480F). It is also highly resistant to thermal degradation as well as attack by both organic and aqueous environments. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a semi-crystalline, high-performance engineering thermoplastic. PEEK rod is ideal for use in many high-end applications in industries such as Chemical, Electrical and Electronic, Petrochemical, Automotive, Mechanical, Medical, Aerospace, Semiconductors and Food. These properties make PEEK rod suitable for sterilization and, due to its features of biocompatibility (USP Class VI), a strong candidate for medical applications. ![]() PEEK rod has good resistance to beta and X rays, as well as gamma rays (more than 1000 mrad without significant loss of mechanical properties). The thermal performance of PEEK red as well as the wear and chemical resistances ensures longer life and integrity of components in harsh environments. There are excellent mechanical performance properties of PEEK, for example, parts can be designed with reduced weight, greater durability and strength, which makes PEEK an alternative solution to metals in extreme conditions. Our PEEK rod is available in 3 meters lengths, but we can also reduce these to 1 or 2 meter length cuts. Its distinct materials make it inert to most solvents and give it a smooth. We extrude and stock a large range of natural PEEK rod, from 5mm to 120mm and some sizes of extruded PEEK. Biocompatible, PEEK Tubing is optimized for use in high-pressure applications. This polymer belongs to polyketone family of polymers (PEK, PEEK, PEEKK, PEKK, PEKEKK) and amongst them, PEEK is the most widely used and manufactured in large scale. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a semi-crystalline, high-performance engineering thermoplastic. The melting point of the high temperature plastic is approx. Due to its high heat distortion and temperature resistance, PEEK components can be used at temperatures up to 250 - 260 C. Chemically resistant to aggressive environments.MCP Engineering Plastics Limited are PEEK Rod suppliers and manufacturers.
